Where? - Mr. Darrin Mills Large Animal Facility
How Long? - Year-round project
What do I do? - Members of the Co-op are responsible for breeding, lambing, maintaining flock health, marketing the lambs, and overall management of the project.
Leadership Positions? - Members elect a Board of Directors and a Co-op manager to oversee the cooperative, conduct meetings, and supervise members based on contract terms.
Requirements? - Members must sign a contract at the beginning of the year. Members must sign up for at least one shift per week, and cannot miss more than three shifts. At the end of the year, members will receive a dividend check based on the amount of shifts they have done.
When can I join? - Co-op membership opens up September at the beginning of the school year. Even if you are a returning member, you must fill out a contract to renew your membership. Additionally, the Agriculture Vet Science 4 class also takes part in hands-on labs at the Sheep Unit. This class can be taken in your fourth year of agriculture.
