1. Bad Standings:
Definition - Bad Standings is a loss of privileges due to inappropriate behavior and/or neglect of responsibilities toward the FFA, example not attending member meetings.
2. Situations that will place members in Bad Standings:
A. Missing more than 3 FFA general meetings will place members on permanent bad standings. You are absent if you are not present by the first ten minutes of the meeting unless pre-arranged and approved by the FFA advisor.
B. Use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco, or any illegal activity at any school, FFA functions or fair.
C. Insubordination towards instructor and/or supervisors.
D. Improper conduct at school or FFA functions due to vulgarity, moral conduct, etc.
-All Bad Standings placements will be reviewed by the executive committee and chapter advisor prior to placements.
-Any member in Bad Standings relinquishes all privileges pertaining to FFA functions and/or activities with the exception of FFA meetings commencing with first day of infractions.
E. Missing the 4th meeting will place the member on permanent Bad Standings.
3. Redemption Policy:
A. Any member placed in Bad Standings due to an infraction with alcohol, drugs or tobacco, or any illegal activity will automatically lose all privileges for 30 days, commencing with the first day of the infraction. Additionally, students will remain on bad standings until they have completed all disciplinary actions assigned by the schools administration. After all of this is completed, the member will be back in Good Standings.
B. MISSED MEETINGS- all missed meetings will be counted as MISSED and cannot be made up.
REMEMBER: ANY MEMBER MISSING MORE THAN 3 MEETINGS (FOR ANY EXCUSE) OR ON BAD STANDINGS BY THE COUNTY FAIR WILL BE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY FFA ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING THE CALAVERAS COUNTY FAIR AND JUNIOR LIVESTOCK AUCTION, JUDGING TEAMS, COOPERATIVES, ETC.
